As one of the first composers in Russia has started to work in a direction of electro-acoustic music, having selected its centre of the creative aspirations. In 60th years E.Artemev creates a number of compositions in Experimental studio of electronic music (Moscow, the founder - E.A.Murzin) on synthesizer ANS.

Has finished management institute (Moscow). Worked in a number of institutes and firms, creating computer programs for training, automatic control, computer games, medicine and music.

Since 1992 - a member of the Theremin-centre.

The basic interests: - interactive music - languages of musical programming - new forms of musical training - multimedia, a virtual reality. With 2003 on 2007 he worked as the technical director of Bregman-studio (Dartmouth college, Ganover, USA). Now works over the dissertation at University of Virginia (music department).

Has ended MFTI in 1979. Worked in FIAN the USSR, being engaged in researches in area of physics of magnetic domains. In 1975 has taken a great interest in working out of technics for synthesis and sound processing. In 1977-1979 worked in Problem Laboratory of the Moscow state conservatory under the direction of professor Andrey Volodin, developing modules of an electronic synthesizer of a sound. Since 1978 spent independent workings out, taking part in various all-Union and international exhibitions. Has publications in a number of the Soviet magazines on subjects "Electronic music".
